This project was to add on a deck area and to enlarge the 2 front bedrooms with renovation works to both bathroom and ensuite. Duragal steel was used for the sub floor and tied into the existing house. To reduce the weight load on the floor we used a foam cladding system which was rendered. The decking used was a 90mm Merbau fixed to the steel with stainless steel screws. The stairs in the middle of the deck make a marvellous feature they where individually welded and large slabs of Merbau laid over them.
